WNBA star Brittney Griner is officially off the market.
The two-time WNBA All-Star for the Phoenix Mercury tied the knot with Glory Johnson (a Tulsa Shock forward) Friday afternoon in Phoenix, the couple confirmed to PEOPLE. The 24-year-old brides exchanged vows in front of about 75 guests under an archway at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds celebrated with a dinner reception and enjoyed a tiered cake that combined Griner’s favorite white cake with Johnson’s favorite red velvet cake. The couple’s first dance was to Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud.
Last August, Griner took to Instagram to announce their engagement in writing: “Last night was a night to remember. I became the happiest person on this earth! (nearly passed out but revived when that one word came out) Me and my baby @missvol25 are in it for life!”
