Stormy Daniels, the woman at the center of Donald Trump’s recent legal scandal, tweeted a two-word response to news of the former president’s impeachment.
After it was announced Thursday night that the charges had been filed, Daniel’s attorney, Clark Brewster, tweeted about the charges against Manhattan, saying it was “no joy.”
“The hard work and conscientiousness of the grand jurors must be respected. Now let truth and justice prevail. Nobody is above the law. #teamstormy‘ the lawyer wrote in the tweet.
Daniels retweeted the attorney’s post, adding a quick “thank you” in response.
Daniels followed up her first post with a lengthy thank you to her supporters:
The adult film star received hush money a month before the 2016 election to keep her from speaking out about her alleged affair with Trump a decade earlier. The transaction is at the heart of the charges against the former president.
