PARIS: Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe suffered a fear of injury before the Champions League encounter with Bayern Munich when he hobbled away against Montpellier on Wednesday with a hamstring problem.
Mbappe was substituted after 20 minutes, holding his left leg after colliding with Montpellier’s Leo Leroy, a worrying sign in the first leg of the round of 16 against Bayern on February 14.
The France star previously missed a penalty when Benjamin Lecomte denied it twice after Mbappe was allowed to repeat the kick after seeing his first try saved.
PSG then later lost Sergio Ramos to a head injury later in the first half. They have already been without Neymar for the trip south as the Brazilian suffered from muscle fatigue.
