Netflix added 35 movies and series for February 1, 2023

Prize. Hit. first of the month Welcome to your roundup of what’s streaming now on Netflix in the United States as of February 1, 2023. Today we saw 29 new movies and 6 new TV series added to the service. We’ll also review what’s trending in Netflix’s top 10.

Today’s new arrivals kick off a busy month of new arrivals to Netflix.

Best new movies and series on Netflix for February 1, 2023

Lord of the Rings trilogy

Best film trilogy of all time? Chances are The Lord of the Rings is at the top of this list, and today Netflix snapped up all three movies.

Based on the novels by JRR Tolkien, these three films masterfully adapt the story of Frodo Baggins, who carries the Ring of Power to Mount Doom to defeat Sauron.

Unfortunately, as we predicted earlier in the week, the three films now streaming on Netflix are not the beloved extended versions of the Peter Jackson trilogy.

New Amsterdam (Seasons 3-4)

A regular fixture in the Netflix Top 10 for the past few weeks has been NBC’s medical drama, New Amsterdam. Following the release of the first two seasons on Netflix on January 1st, we have now been treated to the show’s third and fourth seasons.

For the unknown New Amsterdam follows a new medical director who breaks the rules to fix the system at America’s oldest public hospital.
