This travel trend is a new take on work from home

GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT) – Travel is increasing in America, despite the socioeconomic status of many Americans.

Travel trends like “workcations” and “hush trips” are all the rage right now. GoCity conducted a nationwide survey and found that about a third of telecommuters have worked while on a leisure trip.

A majority of Americans, 77%, said it helps with flexibility when it comes to paid time off. One in four plan to extend their upcoming vacation by working from home, and nearly one in ten plan to be in Florida working “from home” in 2023.

The generation driving the bulk of this new trend is Gen-Z, as nearly 50% of them said they will “take a job” in 2023.
