Entering its tenth year, Travel Leaders of Tomorrow is giving new Consultants the tools to succeed

Updated syllabus and new Corporate Travel Advisor training for 2023 in store

IRVING, Texas, October 28, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Travel Leaders of Tomorrow, the premier travel consultant training school, part of travel industry leader Internova Travel Group, celebrates its 10th anniversary^th Anniversary in 2023 with plans to update the curriculum and launch a new training module for corporate travel consultants.

Travel Leaders of Tomorrow currently offers two programs: Independent Learner and Virtual Campus. Independent Learner is an online-only program that allows students to complete classes at their own pace. Travel Leaders of Tomorrow’s most popular option, the virtual campus, brings cohorts of students together for teacher-led sessions, guest lectures, virtual study rooms and a final business plan presentation. Since its inception, Travel Leaders of Tomorrow has inspired over 2,000 people to complete the course and become travel consultants, both as independent consultants and employees for existing travel agencies.

Throughout the pandemic, demand for Travel Leaders of Tomorrow remained. “The popularity of becoming a travel consultant has increased in recent years and Covid has not affected interest in the profession,” he said Jackie Friedman, CTC, CTIE, Dean of Travel Leaders of Tomorrow. Friedman is also President of Nexion Travel Group, North America leading hosting agency that is part of the Internova Travel Group. “Indeed, the pandemic has brought to light the horrors of travel disruption and increased the value of travel consultants who have stepped in for clients and saved the day.”

Many people have also learned new skills during the quarantine. The travel slowdown allowed new Consultants to focus on their education and progress through programs like Travel Leaders of Tomorrow. “It was actually a really good time for people to start their careers in travel,” Friedman continued. “Our students have always been strong, but in recent years newcomers to the industry have brought tremendous passion and hope. Qualities such as a love of travel, a desire to be in the helping profession and a passion for small business owners make the travel consultant profession very appealing to a wide range of people. We find that Travel Leaders of Tomorrow attracts people who may never have considered this as a career – but they have all the right qualities and just need some training and support to become successful travel consultants.”

Travel Leaders of Tomorrow attendees come from a wide variety of backgrounds, from recent college graduates to those looking to pursue an additional career after retirement. His flexible schedule is particularly popular with those who currently have a day job and are looking for a part-time job. About 50% of the people who have gone through the program are under 40 years old.

Savannah Hills, owner of The Savvy Travel Agency, went through the program in 2016 and attributes much of her success to it. “As a new travel consultant, I needed guidance and education,” Hill said. “Travel Leaders of Tomorrow gave me a framework to learn about the travel industry and a support group of new fellow consultants. Their faculty was also an important part of my development and taught the curriculum that helped me understand how to run a travel agency.”
