But in footage captured by the BBC, Graham Arnold’s joy quickly turned to white-hot anger.
The Socceroos manager celebrated briefly before venting his frustration at skipper Mat Ryan.
Arnold pointed and yelled at the goaltender, shouting for him to go and celebrate with his teammates.

It will go down in history as one of the greatest surprises at the World Championship of all time, but the entire Saudi Arabian team will not each receive a new Rolls-Royce for their exploits.
Team coach Herve Renard has swiped a report that his 26 players would receive the luxury cars from the royal family after their shock 2-1 win over Argentina.
Several publications reported that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman would be spending RM6 million worth of Rolls-Royce, but it seems the claim actually surfaced via a tweet from a Pakistani dentist who was ill-informed.
“There’s no truth to that,” Renard said. “We have a very reputable federation and ministry of sport and it’s not the time to get anything right now.”
Saudi Arabia lost 2-0 to Poland in their second group stage game on Saturday morning and needed a win to secure progression to the knockout rounds.
Saudi Arabia striker Saleh al-Shehri also called the report false.
“That’s not true,” he said. “We are here to serve our country and do our best. Those are the rewards.”
Maybe. But a Rolls would be a nice addition.
