Universal Studios Hollywood WaterWorld cast member requires resuscitation and hospitalization

A “WaterWorld” cast member at Universal Studios Hollywood is hospitalized after falling 30 feet into a tank and unable to catch his breath… TMZ has learned.

Authorities tell TMZ … the incident happened during a Monday show at the theme park. We were told the cast member went into the water – as planned on the show, but it was clear something went wrong when he didn’t show up immediately.

We don’t know if the actor had a medical emergency underwater, or if he was injured in any way from the 30-foot fall into the tank… he may have been knocked out on impact.

When people noticed the performer couldn’t get out of the water, we were told staff members pulled him out and he was revived on the spot for more than 5 minutes.

These staff were able to get his heart beating again, and the performer was then taken to a hospital. It is unclear what his condition is at the moment.

A spokesman for Universal Studios Hollywood confirms the actor is still being treated at the hospital.
