New Super Mario Bros. Movie toy line inspired by Illumination and Nintendo Movie

Here we go! JAKKS Pacific has announced a new line of toys for the highly anticipated film from Illumination and Nintendo. The Super Mario Bros. Moviewhich arrives in North American theaters on April 7, 2023 and in Japan on April 28, 2023.

Look forward to JAKKS Pacific the Super Mario Bros. Movie-inspired posable figures, accessories, playsets, plushies and a super cool RC, hitting shelves and online ahead of the films on February 26th, 2023 in North America, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Europe, Middle East and Africa theatrical release. Senior Vice President and General Manager, Global Toys, Hardlines & Publishing, Universal Products & Experiences, Joe Lawandus, said in a press release, “In partnership with Illumination and Nintendo, we’ve enjoyed working with JAKKS Pacific to create an all-new product to launch toy line for The Super Mario Bros. movie. We’re just as excited as fans are for the release of the film and can’t wait to see their reaction to our range of movie-inspired toys.”

The Super Mario Bros. movie features an all-star cast

Directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (collaborators at Ta Titan’s Go!, Teen Titans go! To the movies) based on a screenplay by Matthew Fogel (The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Partilluminations Minions: The Rise of Gru), the film stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.

The film is being produced by Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and directed by Shigeru Miyamoto for Nintendo. The film is co-financed by Universal Pictures and Nintendo and will be released worldwide by Universal Pictures.
