Where to find Legendary chests in The Forbidden Sands in God of War, Ragnarok

God of War Ragnarok includes a variety of chests for you to find and loot across nine regions. The rarest of these are the Legendary Chest. Inside are usually special items that you can use to increase Kratos or Atreus’ strength. Here’s where to find all the legendary chests in the Forbidden Sands of Alfheim.

Where are the Legendary Chests in The Forbidden Sands in Alfheim in God of War Ragnarok?

There are two legendary chests for you to find in the Forbidden Sands. One needs little to solve the puzzle. The second can be found almost passively while completing the Elven Sanctum Favor.

The Forbidden Sands First Legendary Chest

The first legendary chest is located in a cave south of the Forbidden Sands. Refer to the map above for exact location. To open it, you must first defeat a handful of enemies inside, then solve a reflection puzzle with two spinning purple glass plates. You need to free the glass plate on your left by chaining the elements first to burn the brambles with your Blade of Chaos. Then, use the spinners to place the two glass plates so that they meet each other. Throw your Leviathan ax at the glass plate on the left at an angle to bounce off the plate on the right and clear the hive case. After that you can go and loot your Legendary Chest.

The second Legendary Chest can be easily found in the Elven Sanctum in the northern part of the Forbidden Sands. It’s just before the ledge that you have to grapple to climb. Just remember that you will need to confront Maven in order to drop off any loot collected during this favor.
