If you think Steam is down right now and you can’t download your games, you’re not alone, since February 2nd, 2023 at 1:30PM GMT Steam has been experiencing problems worldwide.
It looks like Steam is currently mostly online, but players are unable to download any new games with a spike in error reports for downloads. However, it seems Some Updates work fine, although it really seems to be on a game-by-game basis. For us, a new game we were trying to download outright wouldn’t connect with a no internet connection error while we briefly downloaded an update before a “content server unreachable” message popped up. If you’re struggling to download new games right now, hang in there. Valve is usually very quick to deal with issues like this, and you should be able to play any game without any issues.
