Is Rise of the Ronin Coming to Xbox?

One of the biggest and most exciting announcements from Sony’s September 2022 State of Play was Rise of Ronin For PS5, a new action RPG from Team Ninja, makers of games like Nioh and Ninja Gaiden. Despite the fact that the game is scheduled to be released only in 2024Rise of the Ronin already appears to be highly anticipated, so much so that Xbox players may be wondering if they’ll get a piece of the action.

Unfortunately, Rise of the Ronin isn’t going to the Xbox Series X&S or Xbox One at all. During the State of Play showcase, Rise of the Ronin was announced as a PS5 console exclusive rather than a Time console exclusive, which would suggest that the game may not be making its way to Microsoft’s platform anytime soon.

Sony has an internal development team called XDev, which in the past has been responsible for helping with PlayStation game development from external studios. Traditionally, Sony Japan would handle similar responsibilities for games developed by third-party studios in Japan, but with the closure of Sony Japan, it appears that an XDev Japan team will join Team Ninja in the development of Rise of the Ronin. is helping. Granted, it’s not a hard confirmation that Rise of the Ronin is never coming to Xbox, as Sony has published games on Xbox in the past. One game in particular, in fact: MLB The Show.
