Stellar Street Eats fans can soon stop searching online for the food truck’s nearest location as the restaurant on wheels is expanding to include a stationary brick building in Anderson Township.

Operated by husband and wife team Ashlee Rose and Ryan O’Neil, Stellar Street Eats is known for its burgers, wraps, steak sandwiches and cult-favorite pimento cheese. In fact, it was named one of the top three food trucks in the world CityBeat’s past three Best Of Cincinnati editions, and this year was in the top three for Best Burger and Best Local Snack (for that pimento cheese).

The O’Neils’ new permanent location – called Stellar Food Company – will be located at 6663 Salem Road.

“When everything shut down, our entire schedule for the year was erased. We really had to find ourselves,” says Ryan CityBeat. “We went from going bankrupt to solving problems and moving forward full steam ahead. We always say that failure is not an option for us because we put our life savings into this business. We have to be successful and we have to find our way.”

This is how the Stellar Food Company was added.

The fast-casual operation seats 10 people inside, with plans for a grand opening in July. The restaurant’s primary function will be takeout, curbside and “local-area delivery,” says Ryan. It will serve the same menu as the Food Truck with some additions.

“We’re going to expand that with fresh-cut fries,” says Ryan.

They will also add appetizers, salads, soups, a kids’ menu and some ready meals that customers can take out and bake at home, says Ashlee Rose.

The couple chose the restaurant in Anderson Township because they live there with their children.

“Last spring when the closure happened, we parked our food truck there and did really, really well,” says Ryan, specifying that they actually parked their food truck on the property attached to the new property.

“It was the first time we’ve been able to provide food to the local community we live in and we’ve had a very warm welcome. The support was very warm,” he says.

In addition to serving food, Stellar Food Company will act as the picking kitchen for the food truck and pimento cheese currently for sale at both Jungle Jim locations, Taste on Elm, ETC Provisions, Liquor City and Party Town.

“Our community kitchen that we have now is an hour’s drive there and back, so having one that’s five minutes from our house was just really tempting,” says Ryan. “(And) if we want to have a communal kitchen, we might as well serve food out of it — sort of a triple threat.”

Ryan says the goal is to build on the successes already achieved.

“We hope to be able to use the equity we have built up in this property for future ventures – wherever that goes,” he says.
