An event on March 23 at W Seattle is planned as a celebration of women’s voices in a variety of male-dominated industries. The event features a panel and signature menu.
SEATTLE – With the goal of bringing women in the food and beverage industry together, W Seattle is hosting an event called What She Said: Food, Beverage and Bosses.
The event will take place on Thursday, March 23 at 6:00 p.m. at W Seattle on Fourth Avenue.
Event organizers describe it as a unique opportunity to learn from and connect with some of Seattle’s top female chefs in the food and beverage industry.
The annual event aims to “elevate and celebrate female voices across a variety of male-dominated industries and provide a safe space for women to share their experiences and be heard.”
The event features a panel of food and beverage industry leaders and will be moderated by former KING 5 host Michelle Li, who is also a cookbook author and founder of the Very Asian Foundation.

- Chef Ba Culbert, owner of legendary brunch spot Tilikum Place Café
- Angela Shen, grocery entrepreneur and founder of Savor the Wild Tours
- Pike Brewing Company’s chief brewer, Leslie Shore
- Co-Founder of Big Gin and Founder of Fathom35, Holly Robinson
- Founder of catering and lunchbox company Gourmondo Co., Alissa Leinonen
Tickets for What She Said: Food, Beverage, and Bosses can be purchased on Eventbrite here.
Tickets cost $60. Admission includes the panel discussion, a beverage ticket, hors d’oeuvres, a goodie bag and a chance to win a night’s stay at the W Seattle, including an in-room dinner for two curated by Executive Chef Steven Ariel and a copy of the book , Alcohol & Vinyl.
The W Seattle is located at 1112 Fourth Avenue in downtown Seattle. Valet parking is available for a fee.
