Another FIFA game is planned, but without EA

Electronic Arts and the football association FIFA have gone their separate ways. For the past 30 years, EA has produced one of the most iconic football games in the world and will continue to do so under the new title EA Sports FC. However, while the Football Association will not continue its deals with the massive publisher, the company is still working on another FIFA Game.

The NEW FIFA game FIFA 25.

According to The Times chief reporter Martyn Ziegler, FIFA President Giovanni Infantino wants to go “neck-and-neck” with him EA Sports FC for football supremacy. How will he do that? By developing his own football game.

Since FIFA is a company that only deals with football-related matters, we don’t know which developer will create this new game. Many companies develop soccer games, like Strikerz Inc., but it’s a tall order to take on an established name like Electronic Arts.

Insider Gaming owner Tom Henderson shared his thoughts on Ziegler’s tweet: “I think FIFA will find out very quickly how difficult it is to make a consistent and reliable game that people will buy year after year.”

During Electronic Arts’ FIFA games aren’t perfect, the publisher has continued to attract massive numbers annually. The latest title in the series FIFA 23sold 10.3 million copies in its launch week.

The future of FIFA

Since the split, many rumors have surfaced about who would get the FIFA license and create a new football experience. One of them is that 2K is interested in the license and plans to “market” a new football game. However, this could be a non-simulation game and the FIFA rights could be used in an upcoming Lego sports game given 2K’s recent partnership with the toy company.
