I’m a NYC based content creator known for my style – these are my favorite looks

How would you describe your style?

The first word that comes to mind is carefree. I don’t have a specific style. I wake up every morning and I dress so differently than the day before. I’ve always been obsessed with color. I definitely think growing up in Southern California was a big influence on my style. I still have a beachy style, “West Coast LA Girl”, but now I live in New York. I think these somehow came together and determine how I dress now.

Which brands are your current favourites?

I just got this top from Orseund Iris which I’m obsessed with. I think every piece they create is so, so good. I got a lot of my classic pieces from them. I love Anine Bing. Your blazers are my go-to. If I ever have to wear a blazer, it’s from them. They run out of size. it’s so perfect I love Ganni too. They are one of my favorite brands of boots. I have a new pair of Ganni boots every season. I’ll wear them until they die. I love her so much.

What are you most looking forward to wearing in 2023?

I think I’m saying this because it’s winter right now, but wow, I miss summer. Looking back at the photos I shared with you…I miss it. I’m so ready to be back in floral midi skirts with little tops and loafers from spring into summer. I like to wear chunky boots with a mini dress in the summer. I definitely like to combine wilder things with girly things. That’s really how I created my style. I would never wear a mini skirt with low heels or anything. That’s just not me. I’m really looking forward to styling spring and summer. I’m such a midi skirt girl. I’m so ready to pull this on on a Friday night and hop on the sweaty subway.

Where do you get fashion inspiration from?

I draw a lot of inspiration from Instagram. I follow any Hailey Bieber and Elsa Hosk fan accounts or style accounts that post their outfit details and I always enjoy checking them out. Whenever I go through Instagram and see a photo I like, I save it immediately. While I’m not exactly going to be inspired by the look, if I just look and get inspired by these photos on Instagram, I’ll get to a point where I’m like, “okay, I can put something together.” Even though I don’t draw fashion from them directly, Instagram inspires me. Then I can go and put something together. I also feel like you see so much inspiration on the streets of New York. I’ll see someone wearing a denim skirt with tights or something. I’m like, “I literally never thought of doing this and this girl looks so cute,” and I go home and try it out or try to put my own spin on it or something.

What style tip would you give to someone who wants to be more chic in 2023?

When shopping (it’s also a great way to be efficient and save money), think about clothes that you can wear over and over again. Buy pieces that you can wear to an event, party, birthday dinner or whatever, not something you will only wear once. When I’m choosing something—whether I’m gifting it, shopping alone, or going to a store—I actually think of three outfits I could wear that piece with, which are wildly different for different events, before you actually think about having it in your closet to keep. Your closet is precious space here in New York. You must remember to maximize your space and get versatile pieces.
