“Our hearts are so happy”

Heather Rae El Moussa and Tarek El Moussa have welcomed their baby boy!

Flippin’ El Moussas The stars’ son arrived on Tuesday, proud father Tarek, 41, revealed on Instagram.

“Our baby boy is here 🤍 1.31.23,” he wrote Thursday alongside the first photo of their little one.

“Mom and baby are happy, healthy, tired but doing well. Our hearts are so happy ❤️.”

In the image, which was reposted by Heather, the couple cradles the tiny baby in their hands.

The baby boy, whose face is not visible, is wrapped in a blanket with a footprint pattern that coordinates with his mother’s fingernails.

The stars haven’t revealed their baby’s name.

Their new arrival joins Tarek’s older children – Brayden, 7, and Taylor, 12, with ex-wife Christina Hall.

Speaking to PEOPLE on the People’s Choice Awards red carpet in December, the couple shared their excitement about welcoming their son.

“I’m a stepmom, so we have Taylor and Brayden, but a newborn,” Heather, 35, said.

“I mean, just raising a newborn and for me, just raising a newborn – I’ve raised Taylor and Brayden since they were 3 and 8, and just welcomed a new little soul into the world …”

The couple also reached out to PEOPLE ahead of their Winter Wonderland-themed baby shower in November, with Tarek joking about how he plans to continue supporting Heather once they bring their baby home, “doing what ‘I am told’.

“Whatever she needs help, I’m here to help her,” said the Flip or Flop said alum.

Tarek noted that he also agreed to let Heather shave her chest before the baby arrived.

“I think it’s important for dads to have skin-to-skin contact with the baby as well,” Heather explained. “So I told him yesterday that I’ll shave his chest and he’ll have some quality skin-to-skin time with the baby.”

The couple were in the midst of in vitro fertilization treatments and had even planned a date to transfer an embryo, when they were pleasantly surprised to learn they were expecting their first child together, they told PEOPLE exclusively in July . Later that month, they announced they were having a boy.

Following her pregnancy announcement, Heather shared with PEOPLE that she was thrilled to show off her changing body in maternity fashion.
